We are at the forefront of development in hybrid and full electric powertrains, aiming to deliver electrifying performance and peerless refinement. This opportunity is a unique chance to a part of the team testing the next generation of electrified propulsion systems for JLR products. 

 

As a Methodology Lead Engineer EDU, you will be a part the team testing the next generation of electrified propulsion systems for JLR products. You will be developing systems simulation, delivering commissioning of laboratory tests, designing instrumentation strategies and research new tools to improve efficiency and quality of testing within Powertrain Test Operations (PTTO) where we utilise state-of-the-art test facilities to develop, verify and sign-off component, sub-system, and system level targets.   

 

  

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities  

 

  • Create instrumentation and data handling plans.  

  • Translate prototype unit designs and network schematics for rig-based testing. 

  • Create tools to measure and evaluate data quality in the test field  

  • Develop automated methodologies and technologies to support the operational team in meeting facility utilisation and testing gateway targets. 

  • Implement automated testing and data analysis tools to accelerate development and interpretation. 

  • Look and implement novel approaches to challenges & communicate lessons learned 

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED  

  

  • Relevant experience in similar role within electrical, mechatronics, automation. 

  • Experience with automation system processes, tools, and techniques. 

  • Knowledge of data analysis using tools like CANALYZER, MATLAB, Excel, Concerto, MDA. 

  • Previous experience with instrumentation and measurement electrical systems  

  • Experience in structured problem solving and data analysis.  

  • Previous expertise with 8D technique and implementation to the process within similar role.
