Collins Aerospace is seeking hire a Materials Associate I to support inventory management which includes reporting, analysis, reconciling and resolving issues with data in various systems. You will support management decision making by providing key summary reports, provide advice and assistance to customers/users; troubleshoot complex problems in inventory management systems and support effective use of our ERP and Warehousing systems.

This is a highly collaborative role where you will partner with production control, warehouse operations, receiving, shipping, planning and other operational organizations. In this role, you will act as an inventory specialist responsible for the integrity and accuracy of inventory.

*Position works 1st Shift (6:00AM – 2:30PM, Monday – Friday) onsite at our Haltom City, TX location.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Receives, checks, stores, kits, issues and ships a variety of items and maintains inventory control.

  • Expedite the program and facility materials.

  • Uses assistance and/or powered mechanical means (not to include forklifts, box trucks or high bay vehicles) to load, unload, store and deliver a variety of incoming and outgoing material.

  • Prepares and packages small and large parts using proper procedures and materials.

  • Processes purchase orders for spare tooling and materials.

  • Proficiently uses computer hardware/software.

  • Oversees parts preparation, material handling, measuring and packaging equipment, records calibration logs of tools and equipment.

  • Performs operator preventative maintenance tasks and refers major breakdowns to machine maintenance.

  • Oversees inventory and maintains all government tooling property according to military regulations.

  • Maintains contact with personnel from various customers and supports areas to ensure accuracy of material/process.

  • Uses assorted measuring and weight recording devices.

  • Keeps equipment and surrounding areas neat and clean.

  • Performs related duties as required within the scope of this job function.

  • Will be asked to lift boxes and other equipment up to 50 lbs.

  • Will work under moderate supervision and complete additional tasks as assigned

  • Work overtime as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • HS Diploma. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

  • Requires minimum 1-year of experience in warehousing and/or logistics related activities such as operation of warehouse material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks, box trucks and/or hoists, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Able to work with MS Windows.

  • Able to perform basic Math calculations.

  • Knowledge of SAP systems

  • Using RF Scanner
