What does taking part in the Collins Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering Graduate Programme involve?

Aimed at highly motivated and ambitious individuals eager to be a part of a world leader within the aerospace and defence industry, this scheme is geared towards supporting the accelerated career development of graduates who wish to play an instrumental role in Manufacturing Engineering.

The role is based at Wolverhampton, and this is the home of Actuation Systems at Collins Aerospace. Actuation Systems are the leading experts in fly-by-wire, hydraulic and electro-hydraulic actuation design, Collins Aerospace offers a complete line of actuation products that enhance aircraft performance and reduce pilot workload.

We are looking to recruit a small number of high calibre graduates who can support Actuation Systems with the effective development of new manufacturing technology. It is a really exciting time to join the function and a real hands on approach to leading Manufacturing projects.

You will be part of our wider Graduate community and be assigned a Mentor, who will support and guide you throughout your career with us. All of this is designed to complement your career development, fuel your aspirations, and give depth to your training and career.

You will complete a structured rotational programme over the 3 year’s, ensuring you develop the key competencies of a leading Manufacturing Engineer. This will involve spending time working with our products as well as:

  • Machining Projects
  • Assembly and Test Projects
  • Design Engineering
  • Quality
  • Product Support
  • New Technology Development
  • Industrialisation
  • Self-Sourced Placement.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for the best graduates who have the following attributes:

  • Graduates in any discipline who have completed their first degree with a minimum of a 2:1 or MSc/MA (Or Equivalent) in an Engineering Discipline.
  • Hold English and Maths GCSE to a minimum grade C or above   
  • Brilliant communicators with a wide range of audiences.
  • Motivated and professional
  • Super organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Passion to work in aerospace and a real desire to make a difference to our customers and our business
