Job Summary:

Process Control will dramatically improve the company’s quality and delivery signature using Six Sigma methodologies. The Black Belt will be responsible for assisting the organization in developing a vision, strategy, roadmap and supporting infrastructure for the integration of data driven decision making and Lean/Six-Sigma methods into daily practices across operations, engineering, quality and business functions. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop employees in variation reduction and process control proficiency by coaching, mentoring and execution of – Green Belts, Black Belts and Champions.
  • Support the project pipeline, prioritize and scope projects to business objectives, integrated with other continuous improvement activities.
  • Schedule /facilitate periodic project reviews, & ensure sign off on Gate reviews. Use metrics to ensure progress.
  • Ensure technical quality of process control projects. Identify gaps in project execution and engage appropriate resources to address gap ensuring project meet intended objectives.
  • Lead significant projects critical to improve manufacturing process capability & quality performance
  • Represent the organization in various forums related to Six Sigma approaches. Develop standard work, procedures, and integrate industry-standard best practices.
  • Coordinate development and publishing of Success Stories.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering and/or Operations
  • Must have a recognized Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • 7+ years of relevant experience (Program/Project Mgmt, Ops, Engr, Quality)
  • Demonstrated Six Sigma project leadership/management/coaching experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency leading and managing a large portfolio of cross functional projects
  • Excellent knowledge of MS office computer software including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
  • Able to use Minitab and other statistical software.
  • Proficiency in statistics, data analytics, DOE, and multivariate statistics.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree is a plus
  • CORE/ 6 Sigma Practitioner/Professional certification
  • Strong understanding of other continuous improvement skills: DFSS, Red-X, Lean, etc.
