This entry level Manufacturing Engineer is to work within a FAA part 145 repair station in Vergennes, Vermont. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, development of manufacturing processes, creation of manufacturing fixtures, working in a cross functional group to determine solutions as issues arise, and becoming a training resource for the manufacturing floor.

Primary Responsibilities:

Prepares quality related items and documentation to ensure that established quality standards are met.

Manages the sequencing of work such, as build and delivery, to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources.

Compiles information on cell performance and productivity so that manufacturing performance can be analyzed.

Research, review and test techniques for efficiency and planning.
-
Help identify operational issues by studying functional and performance systems.

Discipline Description Designs and plans layout for assembly and materials handling.

Adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

Plans sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools and equipment and other functions that affect product performance.

Develops manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.

Provides guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships)

In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
-
Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations
