This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June- December; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2024. May be eligible for relocation.

At our Peabody, MA, MRO facility, we specialize in the repair and special processing of turbine (hot section) jet engine hardware, including the creation of materials for thermal barrier coating (TBC). This team member will act as a Manufacturing Engineer and will be a part of a team of engineers and metrologists to innovate, develop and implement technologies to support these repair processes. This engineer will partner with other engineers to leverage process and technical improvements, while having responsibility for the individual processes and product in specific manufacturing cell(s). Additionally, this engineer will partner with the OEM engine manufacturer to implement and substantiate new repair development and ongoing support of existing repair operations.

In this role, you will learn hands-on manufacturing engineering and will help you develop the necessary skills to continue to contribute after graduation, particularly in the aerospace, mechanical or material science engineering fields.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develops & deploys robust internal process requirements to ensure highest level of safety and quality maintained within the processes.

  • Responsible for manufacturing and process performance of designated work cells and/or special processes.

  • Analyzes process variations and implements robust corrective action and process improvements

  • Works on engineering team to develops new manufacturing processes and standards

  • Plans sequence of operations and specification procedures for the fabrication of tools, equipment and other functions that affect product performance

  • Engages with OEM & design engineers on ensuring all processes are compliant with latest standards and revisions

  • Analyzes machinery and equipment design to ensure factor and production conditions are met.

  • Lead a positive culture and championing diversity and inclusive leadership

Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline (aerospace, mechanical, material science engineering).

  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
