This spring summer co-op will utilize their experience and talents to provide engineering support to manufacturing processes. This person will interface with the Leaders across the business to drive performance improvements, conducting studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, lead time reduction, and production record systems. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run January to August; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past August 2024.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

Conducts research to evaluate potential solutions related to changes in equipment design, procedures, or training to ensure the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.

Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification of cnc manufacturing, hardware assembly, testing processes, liquid and vacuum brazing processes.

Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work

and routings.

Establishes and implements quality control objectives, activities, or procedures to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, or minimize costs.

Reviews and provides analytical input to documents, such as proposals or other operational procedures, to support studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.

Develops and maintains the layout of production floor space to establish maximum utilization of equipment.

May manage small projects or processes.

Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedures.
Basic Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
