Summary:
Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Atomization, to work onsite in our Clayville, New York campus to drive process control and improve the company’s quality and delivery signature.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Break down complicated systems into individual pieces to improve productivity
-
Visualize improvement opportunities and convert into processes that meet aerospace quality standards
-
With assistance from the Engineering Manager, determine justification, develop project schedules and identify opportunities and risks associated with ideas; develop risk mitigation strategies to manage risk

Prepare technical specifications and other documents that can be used to procure technical services and products or work instructions

Responsible for projects and/or multiple tasks within functional discipline

Makes significant contribution to their team by applying their knowledge of the discipline
Basic Qualifications:
-
A Bachelor's degree or and minimum 5 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials operations, program/project or quality environment, or a Master's Degree and minimum 3 years' experience in a related field and minimum 3 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials, operations, program/project or quality environment

Familiar with mechanical design, pneumatics/hydraulics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics and heat transfer

Solid understanding of statistical process control and data analytics

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering (chemical, industrial, manufacturing or mechanical)

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
The salary range for this role is 75,000 USD - 161,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
