The Manufacturing Electrical Engineering Co-op position will work with the Avionics Integrated Production Teams in the Cedar Rapids, IA facility. This position is for an Electrical Engineering student interested in learning engineering principles used in manufacturing. If selected, the employee will work side by side with our Manufacturing Electrical Engineers, Production floor operators, & Manufacturing support/engineering staff, to resolve flow, product, and quality issues associated with state of the art manufacturing techniques. This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June to December; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past December 2024.

Primary Responsibilities:

Discipline Description Designs and plans layout for assembly and materials handling.

Will gain knowledge and adapts machine or equipment design to factory and production conditions.

Participates and may help plan sequence of operations and specification procedures

Collect test failure information and prepare failure analysis reports as required for production.

Assist in development of manufacturing processes that are applicable to statistical process control and may develop those techniques.

Analysis of various manufacturing data; i.e. Work In Process (WIP), test output & failures, and Statistical Process Control (SPC)

Will assist in providing guidance for engineering regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.

Assist in developing and preparing test and diagnostic programs to aid in the troubleshooting of test failures

Works with Electrical Engineers and Test Technicians to understand product and test system issues

Assist in analyzing test failures for root causes and corrective actions.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
