OnsiteThis position is for an Electrical Engineer who will join the Manufacturing support team at Collins Aerospace Bellevue facility. This site is responsible for the manufacturing of high-tech aviation electronics for our commercial air transport customers.
If you are an engineer with an electronics background, who enjoys hands-on work, troubleshooting and problem solving in a manufacturing environment, we are interested in speaking with you. This position primarily supports our manufacturing and test functions, less in the design.
Your primary responsibility will be to support the testing of avionics electronics equipment, in addition to supporting lean manufacturing. Collins Aerospace Bellevue offers great opportunities for working in a team oriented, fast paced, positive work environment.
Primary Responsibilities:

Supports continues improvement initiatives in areas of responsibility.

Provides technical interpretation of drawings and specifications of moderately difficult products.

Works with Design Engineers to analyze and resolve design tolerance problems. Coordinates design changes or improvements with Design Engineering.

Evaluate, select and recommend capital test equipment when appropriate using sound cost/payback analysis.

Provide capacity planning and utilization analysis for accurate staffing and test equipment needs.

Eliminate/reduce test defects and improve test yields. Perform root cause analysis and take corrective action to resolve test failures.

Works with Application Engineering, Purchasing, and Suppliers to resolve piece-part application and yield problems driving product performance and flow.

Studies test equipment performance and reliability, and establishes programs and solutions for decreasing equipment downtime.

Provides basic technical assistance and training support to floor test technicians.

Maintains test documentation in current configuration and oversees accurate change management procedures for test documents for assigned products.

Analyzes established manufacturing test processes for cost reduction opportunities.

May provide Material Review Board analysis and disposition of Collins Aerospace and/or supplier products.
Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience OR
-
In absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience is required
