Functional Description

The P&WC Commercial Support Organization specifically Claims Management & Warranty Business is currently undergoing a major business transformation, success of which is reliant on the digital transformation, systems, process and tools. The digital transformation is required to enhance the Customer and Employee experience concerning transacting with the different claim’s vehicles in the ecosystem of Claims at P&WC. New warranty coverages are being launched with each new engine model as are demands from the business to tailor policies for individual markets and customers and find new, inventive ways to cover and reimburse claims.

We are looking for a Deputy- Manager of the Warranty & Claims Management India team to contribute to this major transformation using digital and system thinking as well as global mindset to enable this center of excellence to become best in class from a Customer and Employee experience standpoint.

As a Deputy- Manager of the Warranty & Claims Management India team, you will be responsible for leading and driving a team of professionals’ managers who support a very diverse eco-system where claims and warranty are concerned. Your role will be to ensure that the team works in a cohesive manner to complete the responsibilities below. The Deputy-manager will and lead the strategy of the business to ensure alignment across the global footprint of the department.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Ensures that employee engagement and development is a top priority.  Enables and empowers the team to produce results in a rapidly changing environment, while leading the selection, training, and mentoring of professionals on the team and holding team members accountable for meeting customer (internal and external) commitments.
  • Accountable for budget, staffing, and business/operational results; provides updates and prepares presentations to senior leadership on behalf of the Warranty and Claims value streams.
  • Manage a team with diverse job descriptions to including assigning and monitoring tasks.
  • Review, investigate and address any escapes or process gaps.
  • Work closely with Finance, Programs, Customer Service, Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO)and other stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of key tasks.
  • Identify and support opportunities for process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure processes are compliant with Customer Service Operating Procedures (CSOP)
  • Set priorities for the team to ensure the quality and timeliness of deliverables.

Qualification and Skills:

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience
    • Related field are Business Administration, Aerospace, Engineering or the like.  
  • Strong English written, verbal communication & Presentation skills
  • Able to work under uncertain environments
  • Passion for managing people along with process and product improvements
  • High degree of autonomy
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead, persuade and empower to effect business transformations
  • Good understanding of customer service ecosystem (Customer services, aftermarket, MRO, warranty, contracts, etc.)
  • Self-starter who is resilient, resourceful, and comfortable with ambiguity
  • Lead by example, team player
  • Demonstrates a high level of curiosity to identify and create new business opportunities in untapped areas
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint)
  • Experience working in SAP SD, SQL, CRM is an asset
  • Familiarity with aerospace products and services or aviation data is an asset
  • Flexibility in working hours
