Summary of Role:

  • This position will be responsible for working with the PMO and business teams to identify and execute infrastructure projects and requirements. Understand the needs of the business, translate to programmatic and technical requirements, identify how to extract the data and execute upon that extraction.
  • Build Business charters, project management plans, schedules, RAIDS, and other artifacts according to assigned projects and business needs.
  • Working with Portfolio and Program managers, the Sr Project Manager will be responsible for the project’s compliance with PMO methodologies, processes and tools and follow PMO best practices

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Technical SMEs, Business Units, and Finance to through project initiation, scope refinement, and ROM estimates.  Delivery required documentation as per the Enterprise Services PMO. 
  • Define deliverables, scope of work and develop detailed project schedules to ensure value is provided to the customer/requestor and business objectives and goals are met.
  • Apply project management principles including project financial management, scope and schedule management, risk and opportunity management, critical problem solving, variance and root cause analysis techniques to ensure on time delivery of product capabilities that meet customer requirements.
  • Communicate and manage project vision with project leadership team to ensure an understanding of the project plan and scope, in conjunction with the company’s commitments and customer expectations.
  • Build highly effective project teams and establish relationships with impacted departments and functional areas.
  • Communicate expectations and instill accountability in team members.
  • Resolve conflicts, promote work sharing, and motivate teams toward common goals.
  • Make timely and sound business decisions that support the business objectives of RTX
  • Summarize and present key information to senior leadership enabling them to make decisions.
  • Manage multiple projects, tasks, and resources through effective organization, prioritization, and time management practices to meet operational objectives.
  • Contributes to the long-term infrastructure strategies, cross-functional collaboration, and foster innovation.
  • Successfully manage project budgets, oversee technical execution, provide timely reporting and ensure quality standards are met by harmonizing technology, business continuity, and strategy to drive Enterprise IT Infrastructure success.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Ability to manage IT products/service of high complexity and/or scope
  • Ability to resolve complex problems with minimal guidance
  • Ability to communicate with all parties involved in the portfolio of products (programmers, third party vendors, end users, etc.)
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing, technical individuals.
  • Ability to effectively drive results in a geographically dispersed team environment

  • Financial management experience
  • Vendor management experience
  • Familiarity with the IT Service Management and ITIL frameworks
  • Hands on knowledge and experience with MS Excel, MS Power Point, Project Online, JIRA, or Planview.
  • Strong experience of Agile /SAFe

Education: 

  • 8 Years Experience with BS or BA Degree in a technical program or Advanced Degree with 5 years’ progressive experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience with project management oversight of infrastructure and cyber security initiatives.
  • 5+ years experience building and managing schedules in MS Project.
  • 5+ years experience leading digital technology migration projects (data centers, cloud, and virtualization).
  • 5+ years experience leading data migration/conversions & data cleansing activities.
  • Advanced degrees preferred. Preferred fields include Computer Science, Information Technology/Systems, Networking, Business Analytics, Engineering, or Business Management.
  • Experience within an aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management certifications with a history of delivering IT projects on time and on budget, and the ability to recognize areas for process improvement.
  • Ability to communicate business needs and interpret high level business requirements, and liaise between business customers, technology teams and support teams.
  • Experience generating documentation, Standard work policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies & take on new projects to grow experience.
  • Ability to work in a high energy, fast paced environment, able to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Highly self-directed and able to learn quickly with a solid ability to drive and deliver results.
  • Strong analytical skills, demonstrated organizational and leadership skills, examples of effective teamwork, a track record of consistently meeting deadlines and due dates.
  • You're comfortable working with minimal daily supervision and to balance numerous priorities.
  • Executive presentation experience and comfortable interacting with senior executive leadership. Lead, facilitate and manage change effectively.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in comprehensive IT infrastructure technologies, specializing in seamless migration processes, with a dedicated emphasis on task automation and optimization.
  • Proficient in the identification and proactive mitigation of risks, coupled with an unwavering commitment to staying abreast of emerging technologies.
  • Technical Certifications: Possession of relevant technical certifications (e.g., CCNA, CISSP, ITIL)
