Position overview:

The Manager, Business Services Accounting & Consolidation is responsible for all the accounting activities of assigned Porsche entities in North America (PBS, PMNA, PLA, PDOA, PEUS, PDUS, PSMI) and is in charge of preparing the PEI consolidated financial statements, as well as Accounts payable.

 

He or she is responsible for the preparation and analyzing of their respective financial results and reports to the President of Porsche Business Services Inc. and the CFO & EVP of PCNA.

 

Primary responsibilities include IFRS internal and external reporting and establishment of the financial statements; routine reporting to North American senior management and parent company in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS requirements; preparing financial statements for annual public accounting audit of all operations, and other financial analysis as assigned.

 

Under the supervision of the CFO & EVP PCNA and the President of Porsche Business Services, the Manager, Business  Services Accounting & Consolidation is also responsible from original entry through issuance of IFRS statements, supervising professional level accountants and other team members; supporting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts; interpreting operating results; determining and implementing accounting policies and procedures; maintaining internal controls; managing annual audit and development of recommendations; working closely with operating executives and managers.

 

Roles & responsibilities:

President of Porsche Business Services Inc. and the CFO & EVP of PCNA.

 

Primary responsibilities include IFRS internal and external reporting and establishment of the financial statements; routine reporting to North American senior management and parent company in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS requirements; preparing financial statements for annual public accounting audit of all operations, and other financial analysis as assigned.

 

Under the supervision of the CFO & EVP PCNA and the President of Porsche Business Services, the Manager, Business  Services Accounting & Consolidation is also responsible from original entry through issuance of IFRS statements, supervising professional level accountants and other team members; supporting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts; interpreting operating results; determining and implementing accounting policies and procedures; maintaining internal controls; managing annual audit and development of recommendations; working closely with operating executives and managers.

 

Roles & responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage monthly financial reporting of North American results for 15 N.A. entities. Coordinate timely reporting to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements for North America and Porsche AG.
  • Support the annual audit of Certified Public Accountants for the Porsche Enterprise Inc. - group; assist the outside auditors by locating documents, preparing schedules; supervise and control preparation of audit documents.
  • Prepare annual consolidated financial statements for public accounting audit report. Ensure that all accounting policies are consistently applied in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS requirements.
  • Support in the coordination of year-end audit process for the US-entities.
  • Manage/support the preparation of 9 N.A. entities’ annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Manage the data entry in the Accounting System for 11 N.A. entities for the annual budget, periodic forecasts, and the daily general ledger accounting.
  • Manage preparation of monthly and annual financial statements for 15 N.A. entities in accordance with US-GAAP and Porsche AG requirements.
  • Manage and improve monthly reporting in SAP and PURe (parent company reporting system).
  • Provide and coordinate all finance and back office functions for the small Porsche Enterprise Inc. - subsidiaries, especially Porsche Design of America, Porsche Motorsport North America, Porsche Consulting US, Mieschke Hofmann and Partner (MHP) Americas and Porsche Latin America, and support the local Management in terms of accounting/controlling advice.
  • Lead for fixed asset and IFRS16 lease accounting across all Porsche NA entities, incl. Porsche Cars North America, Porsche Cars Canada, etc.
  • Design and implement controlling concepts for 11 N.A. entities.
  • Develop and prepare statistics for the analysis and interpretation of operating results for the management of 11 N.A. entities.
  • Direct the financial analysis of intercompany activity including allocations and charge backs, intercompany borrowings, tax allocation agreement administration, and intercompany activity between Porsche Business Services, Porsche Enterprise Inc., Porsche AG, and other Porsche entities.
  • Maintain the security and internal controls and other parameters of the accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger system.
  • Maintain a system of internal control to ensure safeguarding of corporate assets and to insure transactions are in accordance with management policy and authorization.
  • Prepare financial statements for pension plans, 401(k) plans and PIC as required.
  • Manage the preparation of the Board of Directors presentations for financial issues.
  • Provide other Accounting, Tax and/or Treasury support as requested.
  • Coordinate the preparation and/or ensure Department of Commerce reports are timely filed; coordinate the preparation and filing of governmental reports for the Porsche Enterprise Inc. - group (Porsche Enterprise Inc., Porsche Business Services, Porsche Motorsport North America, Porsche Latin America, PCI, PCTX, PIC).
  • Prepare and interpret Business Case calculations as required.
  • Propose and design system and reporting improvements.
  • Prepare and administer the Porsche Business Services Service Fee charged to the Porsche N.A. entities.
  • Coordinate Porsche Business Services accounting functions as a Shared Service Center and manage the accounting cost center, which includes budget responsibility and supervision and training of staff.
  • Supervise Shared Services Accounting and Accounts Payable staff to ensure adherence to daily accounting procedures and corporate policies.
  • Responsible for all accounts payable aspects of all Porsche N.A. entities, including maintaining and improving Porsche’s accounts payable software tools: Zycus and Concur.

 

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in accounting required; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
  • 10+ years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience with including public accounting, consulting and/or auditing
  • International business exposure
  • Strong accounting skills, analytical thinking and communication skills required Experience with SAP/R3, FI/CO and EC/CS
  • Excellent computer skills required
  • German language required
  • German, US GAAP and IFRS accounting skills required

 

Percentage of required travel:  Approx. 10% or less domestic travel

 

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to talk, hear, walk, sit, stand, climb stairs on occasion with prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to effectively work and complete tasks in an open office/noisy environment.
