Summary:
The Machining Cell Leader -2nd Shift supervises entry and intermediate professional level production employees and sets day-to-day goals. The Machining Cell Leader -2nd Shift manages cell productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production.
2nd Shift Hours are Monday – Thursday from 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM
Key Responsibilities:

Meet business metrics goals as defined for each cell (Cost, Quality, Delivery, Environmental Health and Safety, ACE/CORE {Customer Oriented Results and Excellence}, Employee Fulfillment)

Implement root cause corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are maintained Implement ACE/CORE and Lean strategies to improve quality, reduce process time and reduce operational costs Ensure that all employees adhere to environmental, health and safety (EH&S) procedures

Identify and resolve process improvement opportunities to enhance quality, decrease process cycle time and reduce operational costs
-
Supervises activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations; guides production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for multiple cells or a complex cell to enhance production capabilities

Interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service

Coach employees in team development and motivational strategies; mange all aspects of assigned hourly workforce
Basic Qualifications:
-
A Bachelor's degree and minimum 2 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, production, program/project or quality environment or an Associate's degree and minimum 4 years' experience in an engineering, manufacturing, production, program/project or quality environment

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

At least 1 year of leadership experience
