Job Summary: Machine Operator 1 - Operate a variety of production machines.  Machines may include gauging, deburring, cleaning parts, measuring devices and assessing products based on blueprints, and following work instructions. This position will require performing routine operations. Working on the production line you will produce vanes and as well as perform all quality checks. These positions require shift work and ability to work overtime when needed. 

This is a 2nd Shift position: Monday - Friday, 3:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

Employees must remain in their role for 12 months before posting to a new position. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform daily standard work and perform complex operations successfully, read and interpret process sheets, gage, deburr and clean parts, make minor offset changes (if required) and frequently utilize measuring devices and assess product acceptance based on blueprint specification(s) 
  • Clock labor in Solumina, perform Daily Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) and document results, change set ups and document information on check sheets and keep dimensional data on run charts
  • Frequently move about the machine line to operate various manufacturing equipment (approximately 90% of the time) and run all equipment in the entire work loop and produce product per standard work. 
  • Keep equipment and work area clean (6S) and adhere to standard work and all work instructions while performing tasks.
  • Transport product and/or equipment weighing up to 10 lbs, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing.  
  • May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills. 

Basic Qualifications:  

  • High School Diploma or GED 
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. 
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, associate degree or Advanced Manufacturing Certification

Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
