Raytheon is looking for a Logistics Manager to support a newly awarded program being stood up in the Herndon, VA area. The Specialist will be embedded within a multi-disciplined team including logistics, procurement, and technical personnel to perform quick-reaction support services. The manager is expected to independently interact with variety of customers on a daily basis and be a team player, self-motivated and able to independently prioritize tasking in a very complex and dynamic environment. Tasking on this job may vary from day to day. The Logistics Manager must be responsible for all facets of property management and accountability, warehouse operations and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) requirements. Logistics Manager must cross-train the small team in all areas of property management in order to cover each other's area of responsibility as well as support customer surge requirements. The Manager must be familiar with local established business policies, procedures, and public law to ensure compliance. The Manager will coordinate the transport of customer items within the Washington Metropolitan Area.
Requirement Skills/Background:
Must have a minimum of 8 years of related experience
Demonstrable logistics related experience
A good driving record and ability to drive up to a 26 ft box truck
Demonstrated ability to manage a team providing excellent customer service skills
Must have the ability to lift 50 pound items unaided
Experience transporting items within the Washington Metro area
Must have the ability to work in inclement weather conditions (rain, snow, heat and humidity) to complete required mission
Candidates must have a TS/SCI with polygraph clearance
Desired Skills/Background:
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office computer applications
ESD, DOT/IATA & HAZMAT Certified
CDL Class A Driver's License
