WHAT TO EXPECT

 

The JLR Lighting Software Squad is seeking a Lighting Embedded Software Engineer to join our team responsible for the product development of JLR’s lighting products. You will have a chance to flourish working across all aspects of software development for automotive lighting devices including quality, functional safety, cybersecurity, and diagnostics.

 

The team is focused on having a customer-first mindset, driven to deliver experiences that are personalised, transparent, and dependable as automotive lighting becomes more important to the customer experience every day.

 

You will be leading the software development of exterior and interior lighting devices working closely with suppliers to achieve the design vision for the jewellery of the car.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Developing and delivering own software for in-house off-cycle projects
  • Accountable for Lighting software quality management, software release management
  • Supporting component-level functional safety, cybersecurity, and diagnostics for Interior and Exterior lighting components.
  • Ensure that Tier 1 suppliers provide the best possible products and services.
  • Provide input into new features and technology development.

 

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

 

  • Experience in automotive software design, development, testing and diagnostics.
  • Experience with electronics such as microcontrollers and LED drivers
  • Experienced in the delivery of Autosar based software architectures
  • Experienced with the System V model and Agile approach to development
  • Working within embedded software programming including C
