Job Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for an NDT Level 2 Fluorescent Penetrant Inspector at our growing facility in Grand Prairie, TX. Dallas Airfoil Repair Operations, a recognized leader in refurbishment of aero-engine and Industrial Gas Turbine airfoils, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. This position is first shift (5:30 a.m. - 2:30pm).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Fluorescent Penetrant inspection functions in a manufacturing environment
- Perform quality review metallurgical dispositions following procedures as required and responsible for signing-off product inspected
- Complete classroom theory, OFT and certification examination as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications
- Understand internal and external customer requirements with a high attention to detail in resolving findings
- Re-certification required at interval specified by Pratt & Whitney qualifications
- Perform daily walk around of equipment, maintain cleanliness of inspection area and be capable of troubleshooting equipment issues
- Must be able to obtain NDT Certification within designated timeframe as required by Pratt & Whitney NDT qualifications
- Must be willing to work any shift, including an alternate work week. Overtime may be required
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or Equivalent and 2-year technical degree in a Non-Destructive Testing program OR Level II Certification in Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection
- In absence of a technical degree, must have 4 years of work experience in Non-Destructive inspection
- U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a quality/aerospace manufacturing environment
- Knowledge FPI Inspection systems
- Experience using Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience following quality procedures
Additional Information:
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident “Green Card” holder
- Pratt & Whitney Grand Prairie, TC is an FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
