Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Project Management Specialist to join our dynamic team in Saint Charles, MO.

The selected candidate will be the Program Export Focal (PEF) for Weapons International Programs and responsible for successfully exporting JDAM, SDB, Harpoon, SLAM ER, and derivative products hardware and technical data.  The PEF leads all export initiatives and coordinates with Global Trade Controls (GTC) for all export licenses in support of both the New Business and Execution Teams within the International Weapons Organization.  The PEF is responsible for ensuring that the weapons team has export approvals needed to both offer and deliver Boeing Weapons to the global market. 

Boeing Weapons is entering a period of expansion and will continue to rely heavily on the international market for sustained growth.  The current customer base consists of air forces and navies in over 40 countries with efforts underway in several potential new customer nations.  The PEF maintains a direct interface with Boeing Government Operations and Department of Defense Agencies within both the US Air Force and US Navy that set and control international export policy for weapons. This position is responsible for leading all export activities for International Weapons, working collaboratively with Global Trade Controls, Boeing International counterparts, the Direct Attack and Cruise Missile Programs to ensure continued business success while remaining fully compliant with all US Government and Boeing Export rules and regulations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works directly with the core weapon programs, program development teams, and production teams to ensure export licenses are in place to support timely and efficient program execution. 

  • Works closely with the Boeing Weapons international execution and new business teams and program elements to maintain current Internal Control Plans (ICPs) for all current and future international customers. 

  • International sales and marketing utilizing both Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Directs Commercial Sales (DCS). 

  • Coordinates closely with USN and USAF international program elements – as well as various government agencies – to ensure all export requirements are met and concerns addressed.

  • Supports proposal development to ensure 100% export compliance. 

  • Ensures all licensing is in place to accomplish international marketing efforts and play a critical integration role with product improvements and developmental activity for the international market.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience with Export Regulations and Global Trade Control requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships based on trust and integrity with internal and external stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science (or greater) from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry or other technical degree

  • Experience working with US and Foreign Government acquisition processes

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).

Summary pay range: USD $107,950 – $146,050
