This role forms part of the team responsible for delivering off-road and all-road features. This is an opportunity to become involved in the full lifecyle of Feature delivery, from a very high-level concept to first implementation.

 

Alongside day-to-day development of features, the role includes driving the long-term strategy of off-road and all-road features, demonstration events to members of the board and innovation to yield the next generation of features.

 

You will also be responsible for providing data to support the validation of features such as Driver mode, Wase Sense and Off-Road Cruise Control as well as having the opportunity to drive test planning, vehicle preparation and physical testing.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Delivery of systems within the Chassis Attribute Team across the full lifecycle, including Validation and testing within the range of JLR vehicles
  • Assist and contribute to the generation of targets and verification methods that are driven by Customer, Function Requirements
  • Contribute to the delivery of the area onto all programmes, in line with the Systems Engineering discipline outlined by Product Creation Systems
  • Provide technical support and assistance across the operational team on topics relating to the integration and harmonisation of multiple interconnected features including issue resolution and objective data analysis
  • Work with Technical Specialists and Research Engineering on Attribute and Function Forward Strategies, including new Function Definition and Failure Mode Avoidance

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Good relevant experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment - ideally within the Automotive Sector
  • Good understanding and experience using customer requirement and targets management systems
  • Good verbal and written communications
  • Highly self-motivated engineer with proven inter-personal communication/networking skills.
  • Proven project and time management skills
