Overview:

Collins Aerospace, Bangalore office is looking for candidates to join as power electronics design engineer for aircraft mechanical systems and electronic controller products. This member will work very closely with systems and software team to develop the electronics per requirements which includes proto, design assurance, qualification and production.

Position : Lead Engineer (P2)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Hands on experience in DC/DC SMPS and Linear power supply design, preferably flyback, buck converter, linear regulator, and series pass regulator design
  • High frequency magnetic design, preferably in flyback transformer design
  • Hands on experience in designing EMI filters, lightning protection circuits for power supply, electrical Isolated power supply
  • Good knowledge on isolation standards and techniques
  • Selection of power components such as discrete PWM controllers, PMMIC, high and low side driver, IGBT, MOSFET, SCR, diodes, capacitor, and inductor
  • Experience in mathematical analysis such as power supply for stability, different types of power supply feedback loop and compensation design techniques
  • Experience in power supply related PCB layout, EMC, thermal design
  • Fundamentals of electronics components, analog and digital circuits
  • Experience in serial protocol such as CAN, I2C, SPI, UART, etc.
  • Knowledge on electronic product design and development process
  • Good at handling bench top test equipment such as DMM, oscilloscope, data logger
  • Experience in LTspice and Matlab simulation is preferred
  • Motor controller development using high performance microcontrollers/FPGA is preferred
  • Experience in DO160G environmental qual testing is preferred.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electricals, instrumentation, communications, embedded systems, and 3 years of relevant experience OR
  • In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required
