Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for a Lead Auditor to join our team based in Grand Prairie, TX.

The Lead Auditor is responsible to develop and implement annual audit plans, audit checklists, coordinate and perform internal audits and report the results of internal audits. They will also coordinate with external agencies for scheduling and adherence to external audit requirements. This position is responsible to ensure that internal auditors are properly trained and receive the necessary follow-on training required to perform their duties in accordance with established regulations, company procedures and schedules. This role will facilitate root cause and corrective action and continuous improvement plans through analysis of the internal audit program.

Your challenges:

  • Lead site specific internal audits based on regulatory, contractual and company requirements

  • Develop and implement plan

  • Generate audit checklist to be used when performing audits

  • Create training plan for the qualification of audit team members

  • Uphold Airbus Core Values of teamwork, customer focus, respect, reliability, creativity and integrity welcoming challenges and creating an environment for success

  • Review company policies, procedures, processes, documents and forms for accuracy and regulatory compliance

  • Coordinate meetings and discussions to facilitate root cause and corrective action plans required to address audit findings and use them to establish, implement and update company training plan

Your boarding pass:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aviation or Engineering related field or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of related to quality inspection, engineering or auditing quality management systems

  • In lieu of degree, 8 years proven experience would be accepted

  • Internal/External Auditor Certification

  • Data Collection, Analysis and Report Creation

  • Individual and/or Group Collaboration

  • Root Cause and Corrective Action Coordination

  • Knowledge of FAA and AS9100 rules and regulations
