The Multi Intelligence activities are in a major and sustainable growth context, and Airbus is hiring for high profile for large Systems Lead Architects for several major Programs and Bids to start in the close coming months.

Architect - Technical governance - Inteligence Image :

- Is responsible for IMINT solutions architecture for the Multi Intelligence Market.  

- Is responsible for technical definition, engineering deliverables, schedule, cost, quality and risk management aspects up to acceptance of the sub-system or component as part of the overall system.

- Coordinate the results of value engineering, design-to-cost with the constraints for developments and satisfaction of different use cases

Description

A vacancy for a Solution Architect (m/f) for Intelligence Projects & Bids has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Elancourt. You will be placed within the Intelligence and ISR Data Processing Centre of Competence, under the roof of the Technical governance entity, in the Solution Architecture department.

This position aims at fulfilling the mission of Solution Architect on Bids / Programs for large Systems of Systems for home countries and / or Export customers for multi-Intelligence systems and solutions.

The target solutions are complex Information Systems, integrating several software modules on heterogeneous network infrastructures, interfacing with sensors and effectors.

As Solution Architect (m/f), you will be responsible for the design of the optimal solution to Connected Intelligence program entities: enabling efficient development and production, on time delivery and customer acceptance for operation.

This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.

The candidate must have French nationality in accordance with IGI 1300 of 11/30/2011 (article 65).

Tasks & accountabilities

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Being the ultimate technical authority for the bid/project, taking decisions and making arbitration for critical requirements and trade-offs between requirements and program constraints
  • Interfacing with Program entities / Solution Sales and Bid teams / Portfolio and Product managers to define and agree the technical solutions and reference architectures in compliance with customer needs/requirements (in bid phase or project phase)
  • Participating to definition of needs with end customers
  • Ensuring the overall Solution technical consistency in coordination with all engineering contributors, mainly product and software architects, and Portfolio management
  • Defining and Implementing the System Engineering Strategy, in strong connection with lead engineers
  • Making technical, time scale, cost and risk trade-offs where necessary in order to bring developed items to specification
  • Defining technical efforts / costs estimates, technical risks & opportunities register, for the associated activities (and for updates in case of change).

Required skills

You will have the following skills and experience:

  • At least 5 years’ experience in System Engineering and Solution Architecture in similar industry and associated methodology (RBSE, MBSE, Technical Reviews Management)
  • Knowledge and experience in complex Information Systems definition, in particular on Data management and processing
  • Knowledge of Intelligence, Imagery, Defense and or Security domain / solutions would be a must
  • Knowledge on IT infrastructure will be a real plus (Cloud based reference architecture)
  • Knowledge and experience in System/Solution Architecture:
    • Capture, Formulate, Validate and Cascade Requirements for end users
    • Operational and functional analysis
    • Technical Interface Design and Management and support to industrial setup definition
    • Architecture Modelling (business, applicative, infrastructure and technology views)
  • ​Experience in leading Architecture’s activities, in Waterfall, Incremental, SAFe and Agile methodologies
  • Very good communication and active listening
  • Organization skills

  • Language Skills: advanced level of English and negotiation level in French.
