Our Connected Aviation Solutions (CAS) team provides advanced information management systems, products and services that enable the connected aviation ecosystem. The Wide Area Augmentation System (WAAS) Program has an upcoming (for early 2024) career growth opportunity for a Hardware Lab Engineer to provide overall engineering support for a variety of lab activities to include lab integration, testing, and problem resolution. You will be immersed in a fast-paced, team-based challenging technical environment where an individual with talent and initiative can stand out and thrive. 

Basic Qualifications:

-Minimum two (2) years of professional experience working in a Lab environment performing laboratory integration, test and evaluation, fault isolation of prototype hardware, and system qualification testing support.

-Experience developing test procedures to exercise basic equipment functionality and root cause analysis of failures.

-Experience working with Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) integration, such as performing Factory and Site acceptance testing as well as requirements verification.

-Requires prior experience generating technical documentation (data requirements, protocols, etc.); performing basic data presentations; as well as experience working in a teaming environment that closely interacts with other engineering and program disciplines.

-Prior experience with computer aided drafting software to edit and design solutions.

-U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

EDUCATION: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications We Value

Experience performing HW test/integration with satellite navigation systems.

Intermediate to advanced hands-on hardware troubleshooting aptitude in a lab environment such as tool utilization, displaying reasonable capacity to execute procedures thoroughly.

Program bid experience such as basis of estimate understanding, schedule creation and adherence, and bill of material maintenance.

Incorporation of complex subsystems, with on-site experience with surveys, design implementation, functional testing, and certification.

The salary range for this role is 68,000 USD - 136,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
