Job Description:

Pratt & Whitney Compression Systems Engineering is seeking a goal oriented, detail-focused project engineer to work for the ESTO organization as an Integrated Product Team Leader, a role based in Middletown, CT. In this role you'll be responsible for Support to Operations task execution on the Fan Module and Compressor Module. You will work closely with the IPT members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.  You’ll also coordinate and lead an Integrated Product Team to meet task and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage budget for all hardware and tasks.
  • Prepare/present status and technical content to ESTO Leadership, Military CIPTs & upper Pratt & Whitney management.
  • Evaluate product improvement opportunities and initiate Class 2 engineering change executions for those initiatives.
  • Coordinate evaluation and disposition of quality non-conformances and supplier requests for information.
  • Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation plans.
  • Mentor and nurture less experienced employees.

Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering with 8 years of engineering experience or an advanced degree in engineering and 5 years of engineering experience
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are  authorized to access information under this program/contract

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Aeronautical or Mechanical engineering
  • Experience working in the Aerospace Industry
  • Previous gas turbine cases, fan and/or compressor experience
  • Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project or other scheduling software
  • The ability to craft clear communication and build positive relationships utilizing excellent interpersonal skills and cultural awareness

Travel: Less than 25%
