Job Description:
We are seeking a Lab Coordinator with a high energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous improvement using CORE Tools. In this role you will be the focal for all lab logistics and coordination, which supports both Military and Commercial engines. This position will be responsible for maintaining material inventory, tooling/machinery management, shipping and receiving, and other miscellaneous tasks that arise in support of the technicians and engineers working these engine programs. You will interact daily with instrumentation technicians and engineers, as well as other facilities personnel, in a fast-paced environment that requires exceptional organization and independent problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issuing purchase orders for vendor instrumentation support and creating shipping documentation for engine hardware and lab inventory
- Managing EH&S Compliance with lab safety protocols
- Daily sensor inventory lookaheads and ordering of sensors proactively to maintain min/max requirements by tracking their status utilizing SAP
- Effectively communicate across facility and Development Operations departments and report daily status to Lab Manager
- Control of point of generation containers and hazardous materials cabinets
- Facilities coordination for broken/damaged/calibration-due assets
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
Basic Qualifications:
- HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of experience.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with aerospace instrumentation applications
- Detail and results oriented with good problem-solving skills
- Ability to think proactively and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work with all levels of management and customers utilizing clear and concise communication
- Extensive proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications and SAP
Travel: Less than 25%
