Raytheon Technologies (RTX) is seeking an Infrastructure DevOps Engineer on an Infrastructure Modernization Team who would be responsible for technical design, execution and Implementation of DevOps systems.
The ideal candidate will join the RTX team and collaborate with other organizations such as Software and Systems Engineering to implement best DevOps designs. This role will focus on design of server hardware, private cloud environments and modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will also be involved with implementing and supporting the system infrastructure design, including compute server, storage, network, and performance testing.
This position will support design test / selloff; requiring some overtime as needed as well as limited (local) travel as required for system support.
Specialized Skills:

Experience cloud architectures utilizing AWS.
-
Experience with automation tools such as Chef (preferred), Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack, Fabric or similar products for O/S builds.

Experience in Containerization using tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, Rancher.

Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe).
Required Skills:
-
Experience with Modernization efforts from legacy on Prem systems to newer DevOps designs.

Experience with design and test of COTS Infrastructures.
-
Experience with design and integration of enterprise virtualization technologies (i.e. VMWare and related toolsets).

Hands on Experience with Windows and/or Linux System Administration.

Working knowledge of networks and storage.

Security + or CISSP within 90 days of start.

Understanding of Change Management processes - Version Control of software and applications using tools such as: ClearCase and ClearQuest.

The ability to effectively plan your own work.
Desired Skills:
-
Current Security + or CISSP certification.
-
Background in COTS product installation.
-
Experience with DevSecOps and security related implementation into designs.
Education Requirements:
BS/BA Degree and 5 years of related work experience. A Science, Technology Engineering Math (STEM) degree preferred.

In compliance with Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $70,000 - $150,000 however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education / training, and key skills.
