Typical Roles/Area of Focus:
As the Value Stream Industrialisation lead, you will be responsible for implementing, driving and delivering manufacturing production systems using the
industrialisation process both for new product introduction and legacy production lines, you will use operational performance metrics to drive prioritization of improvement initiatives.
Manage and maintain consistent, standard definition and deployment of the
industrialisation tool in Value Stream.
Operate as the cross functional link between all functions to ensure that the areas of least maturity and issues causing the most pain are addressed.
Facilitate effective joint working parties with adjacent Actuation Systems sites to standardize processes and ensure lessons learnt are shared.
Promote a culture of creative innovation driving continuous improvement into the quality and productivity of the manufacturing engineering tools, processes and procedures.
Lead cadence cycle for industrialisation and responsibility for report outs to value stream leadership and central ME function.
Level of Responsibility:
Generation, deployment, training and compliance of all tools, processes and procedures across assigned Value Stream.
Drive productivity and efficiency improvements into tools and processes through the application of Lean principles, CI tools including 5s, RTPR and RRCA and Manufacturing Technologies to ensure the competitiveness of the Value Streams processes and business improvement targets.
Alignment and compliance to corporate processes, procedures and regulatory requirements
Drive, sustain and improve the application of Quality tools and techniques such as APQP, QCPC & ProCert in support of quality improvements
Be a positive advocate of the industrialisation function across the business and proactively engage with adjacent functions to facilitate a positive, inclusive and productive work environment.
Understand and adhere to company compliance policies including the Code of Ethics to drive and sustain our culture and compliance expectations.
Educational Requirements and Industry Experience:
- Strong process oriented background. Experience in process mapping, definition, management, training, audits and compliance
- Experience of lean tools and application of tools to drive change.
- HNC/HND (or equivalent), with a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree Preferred, in a relevant discipline
- Professional Accreditation such as CEng, IEng is preferable
- Demonstrable experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, ideally within the aerospace or automotive industry
- Computer literate, with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of leading, motivating and engaging teams
- Able to tailor leadership style to the audience and situation
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
