This role co-op role is to support the manufacturing site in Richardson. With guidance from Senior Industrial Engineers, the individual would perform tasks driven around troubleshooting and continuous improvement to best support the operator and site needs.

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday, and will run May/June to December; it is only eligible for current students with a graduation date past December 2024.
Primary Responsibilities:

To support the manufacturing floor, optimize layouts, improve processes and create tooling.

Working with product transitions and support including layout reviews
-
Establishes the physical layout of machinery and the most efficient sequence of operations and work flow.

Plans the sequence of operations and procedures and documents manufacturing standard work and routings.

Plans the allocation of resources, materials and personnel to establish maximum utilization of equipment.

Performs research and engineering laboratory functions involving the layout, building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and modification or electronic or electro-mechanical devices,
assemblies, subsystems, and systems. -
Conducts studies pertaining to cost control, productivity improvement, cost reduction,
inventory control, and production record systems. -
May assist facilities engineers (planning and design of facilities) and materials logistics (packaging design).
Basic Qualifications:

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
