Primary Responsibilities

  • Champion a data-based Plant Performance Management and continuous Improvement process and culture
  • Lead the coordination of supply responses, to evaluate the potential impact of new business activities affecting the site, including feasibility, conversion cost impact, capacity impact, and capital required
  • The role is responsible for supporting the transition to a lean environment throughout the site by generating and championing ideas to systematically improve Plant Key Performance Indicators through the use of global standardized tools and processes
  • Evaluate and recommend processes and information system needs for accumulating operational data and performing routine analysis
  • Interface with other groups to insure that operational needs are addressed on a priority basis
  • Assure that the results can be easily understood and communicated to line associates and management on a timely basis
  • Utilize mathematical and/or statistical modelling techniques to identify opportunities and co-develop solutions
  • Perform a key role in the team process of setting performance standards by:
  • Directing the process of establishing, with input from operations teams and technical sections, the components of line performance standards; i.e., yield, uptime, staffing, and line capacity
  • Reviewing and evaluating the impact of proposed standards against plant and corporate objectives in order to identify discrepancies and provide recommendations to resolve them
  • Co-ordinating the standards review and approval process within Operations
  • Initiates, conducts, and co-ordinates studies and analysis to identify and quantify process and product quality/capacity constraints and opportunities
  • Review and approve proposed equipment layouts, operational designs and material flows, which impact direct cost elements, with a vision toward achieving plant long-term objectives
  • This function will require continuous interaction with the Technical and Operations groups to insure that operational needs are given full consideration
  • Maintain bottleneck capacity analysis for each process function for evaluation of potential capacity constraints
  • Support the site strategic planning process within the plant to address, prioritize and implement projects and/or operational changes which will accomplish plant/line goals and objectives

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience using continuous improvement tools including LEAN, ACE, Six Sigma, etc.
  • SAP experience i
  • Software / data science & analytics (SQL, Tableau, etc.) experience
  • Strong project management skills
  • Experience with indirect influence, interpersonal, communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to drive results
  • Ability to communicate and present to all levels of the organization
