Key Responsibilities:

  • Commodity Lead:  Work with P&W Transportation Managers to drive the Transportation Management System (TMS) system implementation effort across PW.
  • Savings:  Drive the organization to achieve savings to ensure competitiveness and efficiency in the network.
  • Key Projects & Project Management:  Lead and track key logistics projects.
  • Strategies:  Ensure alignment and execution of strategies with P&W and RTX Logistics Councils. Continue to innovate by exploring new and disruptive technologies as part of the commodity strategies at the RTX and PW levels. Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with preferred partners.
  • Drive Contract Coverage –Work with the Lead Logistics Partners (LLP) to ensure Master Transportation Agreements (MTAs) are in place for all preferred logistics partners and communicated to the PW enterprise.
  • Data Governance:  Standardize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for global logistics that align with the Transportation Management System (TMS) Control Tower, Freight Bill and Audit Payment (FBAP Partners), and Carrier data to ensure Freight Spend Visibility. Assess Freight Spend and implement opportunities for service improvements and cost reductions.
  • Continuous Improvement:  Establish Maturity Scorecards for internal partners and push suppliers to innovate for value-add and improve service KPIs through the QBR process. 
  • Communications: Communicate critical network changes and disruptions to leadership, internal customs, and external suppliers/customers.  Educate internal customers on Industry Practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, supply chain, operations, logistics management, or other related field; and 10 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or related field; OR and advanced degree and 7 years of experience; OR in lieu of a degree, 14 years of relevant/related experience may be considered.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in Program / Project Management experience
  • ACE Associate or Six Sigma (Green belt or higher)
  • Certification with Institute of Supply Management (ISM) and Association for Supply Chain Management (APICS)
  • Proficiency in Power BI
