WHAT TO EXPECT

 

We are actively in pursuit of an accomplished Systems Design Engineer, poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our High Voltage Charging technologies.

 

You'll be instrumental in the design and delivery of the charging feature and core conductive charging for JLR’s third generation of pure-electric powertrains in the pre-industrialisation phase of powertrain engineering.

 

You'll also be at the forefront of the specification, analysis, design, verification and validation of the charging feature minimises technology and business risk, to enable fast execution of future production programmes.

 

The charging system is an important part of the pure electric powertrain, and its robust design according to the technical and commercial requirements of the vehicle applications requires a robust approach to its design and validation.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsibility for the design and development of the charging feature and the core conductive charging system design functionality for JLR’s third generation of pure electric powertrains, in the pre-programme phase
  • Working with the charging features and charging attributes, electrification services, systems, sub-systems teams and in-house software function developers to elicit technical and commercial requirements for charging features and functions
  • Defining feature and system enhancements to support a modern luxury experience for JLR’s discerning customers
  • Digital and physical validation of charging features
  • Ensuring charging feature engineering deliverables satisfy the ‘Technology Delivery Framework’

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Working experience on charging systems or high-voltage automotive system design
  • Knowledge and working experience with systems engineering principles
  • Experience in eliciting, capturing and managing system requirements and requirements diagrams
  • Experience in creating and using structural models (e.g., block Diagnostics, boundary Diagnostics, interface Diagnostics and architectural Diagnostics) and behavioural models
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
