Collins Aerospace is looking for a HR Business Partner to support our Carbon Brake business, in the Landing Systems/Advanced Structures business unit. In this role, you’ll provide strategic partnership to Wheel and Brake Carbon Operations teams. This is a great opportunity to grow your HR Business Partner competencies as part of a collaborative HR team and to make an impact in an exciting part of the business. All while helping your HR colleagues work smarter and stay connected - in direct support of Landing Systems’ priorities.
This role will be worked onsite in Pueblo, CO (preferred), Spokane, WA, or Santa Fe Springs, CA. Relocation assistance will be provided.
Primary Responsibilities:
HR Business Partner
-
Act as a business leader, strategic planner, trusted advisor, relationship builder, talent champion and culture/change ambassador for Carbon Operations Leaders across three sites within Wheel and Brake Operations. Directly coach, partner and advise these critical members the Wheel and Brake Organization on topics from change management and organizational design to cultural transformation and diversity, equity and inclusion.

Maintain a strong network of Collins HR colleagues in our Centers of Expertise: Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Labor and Employee Relations, to efficiently support business needs.

Lead projects and assignments related to annual HR processes (including but not limited to: Strategic Planning, Performance Connections, Leadership Development Reviews, Compensation Planning and Employee Engagement (Pulse) surveys).

Implement employee programs designed to promote our One Collins culture, optimize organizational effectiveness, and increase employee engagement.
HR Functional Strategy Execution

Ensure the Landing Systems HR team’s most critical processes run smoothly, and that the team consistently adapts to changes in Collins-wide HR processes and practices.

Collaborate with your HR colleagues as we work together to execute on our team’s top priorities for the year

Work collaboratively with functional HR Business Partners, to ensure alignment with functional and Landing Systems’ business objectives

Ability to travel up to 40%
Basic Qualifications:
-
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications:

This position will be located onsite in Pueblo, CO (preferred), Spokane, WA, or Santa Fe Springs, CA. Candidate must be local to the preferred locations or willing to relocate

Experience in change management and/or org design (relevant certifications or trainings completed are of interest!)

Experience working in a matrixed HR function (through full understanding and utilization of a mature HR model with COEs, Shared Services, HR Business Partners and Employee Relations Partners)

Advanced Degree

Prior human resources experience as an HR Business Partner

ICF coaching certification a plus

Demonstrated problem-solver and critical thinker

Clear communicator

Demonstrated adaptability and ability to work in matrixed environment

Track record of building strong relationships with business leaders

The salary range for this role is 94,000 USD - 196,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
