Position Overview:
The Hermeus Program Manager is a highly sought after position in the F100 program office.
A successful candidate will have the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with Hermeus and internal organizations. Creating a shared vision, strategic alignment, focus on results, customer focus, business judgment and developing talent are key competencies for this position.
The position offers the opportunity to positively impact the future of the F100 Program and to directly impact Military Engines and P&W financials.
We are seeking a self-starting individual with strong technical, problem solving, communication, and leadership skills. The Hermeus Program Manager is responsible for all aspects of the Hermeus program including executing current contracts as well as thinking ahead to the future—guiding this startup in what is needed from a propulsion perspective to make their overall air vehicle program successful. This role will work directly with the customer to ensure program milestones are met and the projects are proceeding on schedule and within scope. The Hermeus Program Manager will be responsible for managing resources and functional owners to ensure execution of deliverables. You will be exposed to a broad range of Gas Turbine Engine Systems disciplines including performance, operability, engine system design/architecture, requirements, configuration management, test planning and execution, and aircraft/mission integration.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Manage Customer expectations and priorities; Independently be able to anticipate, understand, and act on strategic customer problems or concerns.
- Define and meet peculiar and non-peculiar requirements, ensuring Customer perspectives and needs are considered in plan development and contracting.
- Preparation and response to RFP’s, ROM’s, and RFI’s for follow-on business.
- Create the strategy and execute in partnership with functional teams to ensure the future readiness of the Hermeus BOM engine & support equipment.
- Lead and influence Hermeus specific IPTs to coordinate process execution with internal functional departments across the value stream (CSE, Engineering, SE, finance, digital, etc.).
- Provide written and verbal briefs/communications to internal & external stakeholders to status program.
- Conduct program management through an Earned Value Management lite system of budget and performance.
- Assist in development and implementation of new / improved processes, policies, standards or operational plans.
- P&L analysis, reporting, and manpower forecasting.
- There is occasional (infrequent) travel associated with this role.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years’ program, business, operations, or project management experience, OR, advanced degree with 7+ years’ program, business, operations, or project management experience required.
- 3+ years of experience with military engines and/or associated support systems.
- 3+ years of program management experience and Experience developing and executing to project plans.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Results oriented, with a strong bias for action and results.
- A track record of delivering results in a cross-functional team environment.
- Technical understanding of propulsion systems and their components.
- Familiar with military or commercial engine production or development.
- Contract and proposal experience.
