Job Summary:

The Operations Quality Organization assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement. Our goal is to establish, maintain, and oversee compliance to Quality policies and practices which are aligned across Raytheon.

We are seeking a 2nd shift Hardware Quality Engineer with hands-on hardware quality experience to become a key part of the Operations Quality Organization in a busy and growing Manufacturing Facility.

The 2nd shift working hours and an additional 8% shift differential will be provided. Hours include 2pm - 11am Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Perform Quality Inspection of subassembly and/or Major End Item (MEI) hardware which may include presentation to customer representatives.
  • Process planning, inspection, and test methodology as well as Non-Conforming Material Control, issue resolution, and product acceptance.
  • Defect prevention through data analysis and effective execution of Root Cause Analysis and associated Corrective Action Implementation.
  • Provide production floor support to address process and compliance issues from all levels.
  • Analyze data, prepare for, and facilitate regular Defect Prevention Team meetings for area quality and engineering improvements.
  • Performs quality escape management procedures, root cause analysis, and recommends corrective/preventive actions (MRB) for design problems for internally produced products & processes.
  • Ensures the full compliance of company policies and procedures.

Required Skills:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience or an advanced degree in a related field with 0-2 years related work experience.
  • Previous experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality management systems.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Strong organization and planning skills to ensure multiple tasks are prioritized and monitored to deliver set objectives.
  • Knowledge of applying continuous improvement activities.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages (PowerPoint, Word and Excel).
  • Highly self-motivated and demonstrate a determination and persistence to deliver on customer expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and presentation skills
