GM Envolve Training Manager

Job Description

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center- Cadillac Tower three times per week, at minimum.

GM Envolve is seeking a dynamic and experienced Training Manager to develop, implement, and oversee training programs for our B2B and B2G teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, sales training, excellent communication skills, and the ability to design and deliver effective training programs that drive sales performance and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Training Programs: Design and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and existing sales staff to enhance their selling skills, product knowledge, and understanding of the sales process.
  • Conduct Training Sessions: Facilitate engaging and interactive training sessions, workshops, and seminars, both in-person and virtually, to equip the sales team with the necessary tools and techniques to succeed.
  • Evaluate Training Effectiveness: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, testing, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Sales Leadership: Work closely with sales managers and leadership to identify training needs, develop training content, and ensure alignment with business goals and strategies.
  • Stay Current on Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and innovations in sales training and B2B sales to continuously improve training programs.
  • Create Training Materials: Develop training materials, manuals, and resources that support training initiatives and ensure consistency and quality in training delivery.
  • Mentor and Coach: Provide ongoing coaching and support to sales team members, helping them to apply learned skills and techniques in their daily work.
  • Measure and Report: Track and report on training activities, participation, and outcomes to senior management and stakeholder
  • Lead an Assistant Training Manager

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Education, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5 Years experience in sales or training
  • Demonstrated management experience and leadership skills.
  • Experience in sales training, preferably within a B2B sales environment.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, strategies, and techniques.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information in an accessible manner.
  • Ability to assess training needs and measure training effectiveness using data and feedback.
  • Familiarity with e-learning platforms, training software, and other digital tools used for training delivery.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team
