Pratt & Whitney has a #gobeyond opportunity available to lead our Engineering team onsite at the West Palm Beach Geared Turbo Fan Maintenance Repair and Overhaul site (GTF MRO). This dynamic and unique role will have two core areas of concentration:

Being the engineering leader throughout our state-of-the-art engine center.

Leading the development of a team of engineers.
This Engineering Leadership role at the WPB GTF MRO will be responsible for leading the technical activity of the GTF engine model undergoing overhaul. Key to this will be coordinating activity and ensuring adherence across a highly complex range of technical processes. Equally as important, this role will focus on people and team development to ensure an engaged and value-based culture for our Engineering team.
The WPB GTF MRO gated organizational structure symbolizes the criticality of all functional areas collaborating and selflessly partnering together to ensure right first-time execution.
The Engineering Leader will lead a fantastic and talented engineering team of process, project, powerplant, repair, and test engineers and managers within the organization. This role will oversee the execution of all specialty services tasks and activities related to production support, innovation and enhancing the engineering processes. In addition, as the leader, this role is also responsible for advancing the methods, analytical tools and overall proficiency of the team to drive continuous improvement and achieve business strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate effectively with members of the WPB GTF MRO Leadership team to meet business objectives and ensure delivery of customer objectives.

Directs activities for a team which includes multiple groups of advanced and specialized engineers. Responsible for developing Engineering talent into future leaders and/or technical experts.

Responsible for leading a team to standardize processes and drive accountability and adherence through the WPB GTF MRO business.

Responsible for quantifying and presenting data to highlight value of the Engineering team. Evaluate and oversee the budget, schedule and technical performance of company programs, oversees optimization strategy implementation, and ensures optimum strategic usage of resources.

Manages specialty analysis and test activities across multi-discipline teams supporting all business products and programs.

Responsible for defining the strategy for continuous improvement of all engineering functions including development of new tools/processes and recruiting/developing talent.
Basic Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree (typically in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and 12 years of prior operations engineering or an Advanced Degree and 10 years of prior operations engineering experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.

Experience leading and developing team members across various engineering groups.

Experience communicating and making presentations to senior and executive leadership.

Able to travel up to 10% domestically and internationally (when current environment permits)

U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Preferred Qualifications:

Previous commercial engines engineering experience

Previous MRO experience

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
