Airbus Helicopters is looking for a
Functional and System Design Responsible for Military Mission Management Systems - focus on NH-90 Swedish version (d/f/m)
You will join a team of 55 people in the "Situational Awareness and Mission Management" department in charge of terrain/weather/threats/traffic awareness functions, vision enhancement and targeting systems, data-links as well as mission management systems for all (e-)VTOLs.
Your mission will consist of supporting system engineering activities and helicopter level integration of mission management systems interfaced with many contributor systems for military helicopters with a focus on NH-90 Swedish version.
Your location
At our Donauwörth site, located on the banks of the river Danube, we develop helicopters from the initial idea to the airworthy product. Watch them take off and touch down on our own on-site test airfield.

Your tasks and responsibilities

Functional chain definition - End to end definition of the functions and systems needed to enable a capability on the helicopter

Requirements engineering
-
Manage introduction of new Hardware and Software
-
Interfacing with project management, purchasing, sales department and other project -stakeholders throughout the organization

Application of agile development methodology
-
Ensuring planning at equipment and helicopter level for development and qualification
-
Participating in offer management and contributing to product sourcing policy
-
Assessing suppliers offers with other stakeholders
-
Proactively controlling and monitoring suppliers during the development phase, with the aim of safeguarding technical requirement

Ensuring the qualification / certification of equipment and the according functions

Supporting rig, ground and flight testing of the equipment
Desired skills and qualifications
-
Bachelor- or Masters Degree in the field of Physics, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar

Knowledge of the use of the DOORS tool, airborne mission systems, Systems Engineering, Requirements engineering and integration in the field of Avionics, the standard ISO/EIC 15288, Airborne Software development processes, the NH90 equipment development process, and military organization, tactics, and operational methods would be advantageous

First experience in the design, development, engineering, and/or integration of mission management systems for aircraft, as well as a first experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe) and Supplier Management, would be advantageous

English business fluent / negotiation level is mandatory

Proficiency in German, French, Swedish and/or Spanish skills would be a plus
