Raytheon Intelligence and Space, located in Richardson, Texas (Cityline) is looking for a candidate to join our world-class engineering team as a Full Stack Software Engineer II. As a candidate for this opportunity, you should have a good foundation in Java and extensive experience working in a LINUX or UNIX environment. The candidate should have a demonstrable understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns and Object-Oriented analysis, design, and programming.

This position is eligible for a sign on bonus of up to $7,500 for the candidate hired with an Active TS/SCI that can be verified before start at Raytheon Intelligence & Space.

Required Skills:

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience developing complex software solutions in Java or C++ in a LINUX or UNIX environment
  • Experience working in agile development teams, specifically using DevOps principles
  • Experience working in a software development environment that uses continuous integration methodology with automated test
  • Experience performing Full Stack Development, including Infrastructure as Code
  • Database knowledge & experience (e.g., MongoDB, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with troubleshooting applications and infrastructure on Linux based Operating Systems

Desired Skills:

  • An active and in-scope TS/SCI US security clearance
  • Java SME with Advanced Java Application
  • Security+ Certification
  • Shell Scripting for Linux based systems
  • AWS cloud certifications are highly desired
  • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Containerization experience with Kuberenetes and/or Docker
  • Including the integration and use of AWS services with custom developed applications
  • AWS developer certification experience with EC2, S3, ELB, Route 53, & API Gateway
  • Experience with agile tool sets (JIRA, BitBucket, JMeter, SourceTree, GIT, etc.)
  • Experience developing, testing and delivering applications within a DevSecOps framework
  • Including the use of Helm and Containerization technologies
  • Experience in the design and implementation of automate test that are integrated into the continuous integration pipeline
  • Experience with Elastic Tool Suite
  • Experience with DevOps pipeline resources
  • Experience with product like Kafka, Elk, Splunk, & Redis
  • Micro services development & deployment into an AWS cloud environment
  • Experience with Jenkins, Gherkin & Cucumber
  • Experience with building associated automated unit and smoke tests for developed code

Education/Experience Requirement:

  • 2 years of relevant experience with a BS degree (typically STEM focused - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics); or
  • 0 years of relevant experience with a MS degree (typically STEM focused - Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)

Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience. Practical knowledge of RTX projects, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work.

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.

Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics(STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
