The main purpose of this role is to support the design and development of components and solutions for a brand new global testing platform for JLR! 

 

You will be working as part of a development team who are creating a unique web based platform that will revolutionise industry practises. This platform will be available globally and be compatible  with a number of industry tools.  This platform is intended to be used on autonomous vehicles and advanced control systems to class-leading infotainment, cloud-connected features and integration of consumer electronic technologies, not to mention the opportunity to drive advanced prototype vehicles.



Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

 

  • Front and Back end development of our new global testing platform
  • Responsible for development of effective and scalable Software test frameworks
  • Contribute to the design and development of Software test frameworks to enable the verification and validation of customer facing products
  • Product optimisation
  • API Development and Integration
  • Meeting agreed deadlines and agreements



WHAT YOU’LL NEED

 

  • Experience with cloud technology providers (AWS, GCP or Azure) and serverless functionalities like AWS Lambda GCP Cloud Run etc
  • Familiarity with front-end web development technologies using modern front and back end frameworks like React, Django, Fast API etc.
  • Familiarity with multiple interface patterns including RESTful APIs or event-based messaging
  • Applied experience with Unix/Linux shell scripting
  • Familiarity with different Database technologies SQL, No-SQL (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MariaDB, DynamoDB)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (GitLab) and modern version control for use in continuous deployments
