Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization is seeking First Line Manufacturing Manager (Level K) to join the team located at the Mesa, AZ.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads employees performing activities within multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and implements business plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals and objectives.
  • Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Leads, develops and motivates employees.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Shift:

This position is for variable shift, primarily 2nd shift.

Security Clearance & Export Control Requirements:

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 3+ years of experience in a leadership role leading diverse teams, initiatives, or projects to meet business objectives and influence change
  • 1+ year experience using lean principles
  • This position requires the ability to work variable shifts; including day, evening, night and weekends.
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, and/or SharePoint.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience on the Apache program
  • 3+ years of experience team building, developing and motivating employees
  • 3+ years of experience leading high performing teams in fast-paced settings
  • 3+ years of experience interfacing with senior and executive leadership

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay range: $96,900 - $131,100
