Job Summary:
Pratt & Whitney Component Repairs Wichita Falls is a leader in hot section component repairs for Pratt Whitney Canada (OEM & aftermarket). The Finance controller for this site is a key business partner to the Management team and is responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning, directing and coordinating all accounting operational functions as well as hiring, training and retaining skilled accounting staff
- Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of consolidated business results
- Coordinating and preparing internal and external financial statements, and activities of internal and external auditors
- Providing management with information vital to the decision-making process
- Managing the budget process along with developing and monitoring business performance metrics
- Assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvement and implementing new processes
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a minimum of 10+ years’ prior relevant experience OR a Master's Degree in Accounting and a minimum of 7+ years' prior relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prefer master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or a professional designation such as the chartered professional accountant (CPA).
- Team leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting in a manufacturing environment
- Must be capable of managing projects and show leadership skills.
- Ability to sustain a high level of pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Adaptable, autonomous with a positive attitude.
- Strong knowledge of Excel
- SAP knowledge would be considered an asset
