Failure Analysis Technician

Performs failure analysis to customer returns for warranty and assist production with issues related to product and generate written reports documenting the cause of failure.

- Performs failure analysis of customer returns and assists with production issues related to product.
- Generates report documenting cause of failure.        
- Updates Quality Department RMA database.        
- Keep and maintain under 5's practices their working station        
- Set-up calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.         
- Hands set-ups for digital tests recognize failure and set-up problems and determine need for appropriate verification.         
- Operate programmable auto-testers, samplers, real-time oscilloscopes, pulse generators, meters, power supplies and special test fixtures.          
- Prepare written reports and make recommendations for procedural changes.        
- Work leadership and/or train test technicians.        
- Provide support to Customer Quality and Process Quality Engineers for failure modes identified during the analysis.        
- Team Player in the corrective action process (8D) if technical support is needed.        
- Provide feedback and support to Product Engineering team when escalation is needed to understand a Failure Mode        
- Understand and implement policies and procedures of Quality Systems (ISO 90001), Environmental Management System (ISO 45001), Health Management System and Occupational Health and Safety (OHSAS 18001) and any other system that the company may require for its operation.        
 

  • Educational level: BS DEGREE OR EQUIVALENT IN ELECTRONIC, ELECTRO-MECHANIC, MECATRONIC ENGINEER AND/OR TECHNICIAN WITH HIGH LEVEL IN ELECTRONICS.
  • English  Level: Intermedate
  • Experience required:
  • 1 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN FAILURE ANALYSIS AREA.
  • 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE IN MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT
