We have an exciting remote opportunity for a F135 Global Trade Sr. Manager!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead GT initiatives and process improvement projects to ensure that F135/ ECU program trade compliance needs and requirements are sufficiently addressed.
  • Develop and deploy GT standard work to document and standardize export authorization management activities.
  • Act as liaison with Operations GT Pros. Work closely with ME GT Pros, Ops GT Pros, and the ME business to ensure alignment, provide guidance and effective solutions for export and import requirements.
  • Participate in Pratt & Whitney GT investigations, and internal/external audits, support communications, training development, and implementation of key policies and procedures.
  • Follow standardized processes to determine root cause and corrective actions for process improvements based on data, process failures and other related investigation or audit recommendations.
  • Act as the Authorization Owner (AO) for a caseload of export authorizations (ITAR agreements, licenses, and exemptions; EAR licenses and exceptions).
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure timely submission / approval of requests and monitor status throughout application, activation and management processes.
  • Work closely with business unit customers and stakeholders to ensure that, for each application, all required information is obtained for applications and are complete and accurate.
  • Support activation, management, and close-out of agreements and licenses. Maintain a good relationship with program counterparts and be aware of the program developments to ensure export authorization needs are recognized in advance and addressed on a timely basis to support ongoing business activities.
  • Implement required standard work, coordinate export requirements with program and export management, ensure compliance with company policies and U.S. import and export regulations in relation to hardware, technical data, and defense services.
  • Participate in Pratt & Whitney GT activities including audits, internal investigations, corrective actions, communications, training development, and implementation of key policies and procedures.
  • Follow standardized processes to determine root cause and corrective actions for process improvements based on data, process failures and other related investigation recommendations.
  • Participate, as required, in the GT initiatives and process improvement projects to ensure that business unit needs, and requirements are sufficiently addressed.
  • Ensure that authorization users are trained and aware of the requirements and coverage of authorizations. Interact with foreign parties to ensure they are updated and trained as required.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in Global Trade Compliance; OR an Advanced degree and 7+ years of experience in Global Trade Compliance.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen – this position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
  • 1+ years of experience with interpreting and applying ITAR and EAR and other applicable laws and regulations governing international trade.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred fields of study are Legal, Engineering, Business Management or Supply Chain
  • Knowledge of SAP & Global Trade Services (GTS).
  • Strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, interpersonal, leadership, and verbal and written communication skills. Proven effective utilization of continuous improvement tools to drive process improvements. Able to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented with ability to prioritize and make independent decisions using excellent judgement skills.
  • Experience and understanding of regulations governing international trade, and applying it to managing authorizations.
  • Fundamental understanding of customs/import laws and non-U.S. trade compliance regulation and Export Control Reform.
  • Experience with the application and management of export authorizations including use of internal and external IT tools (SAP, D-Trade/SNAP-R/OCR-EASE, etc.).

The salary range for this role is 112,000 USD - 236,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
