Job Description Qualifications:

The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business unit is currently seeking a F-15 Project Engineer to support F-15 Advanced Programs in St. Louis, Missouri: one of our largest, most dynamic sites with a broad business portfolio.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers.

  • Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements.

  • Works with customers and management to obtain approval.

  • Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules.

  • Leads project execution to complete the work statement.

  • Identifies performance metrics. Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program.

  • Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity.

  • Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned.

  • Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans. Works under minimal direction.

 

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Lead and Senior Level F-15 Lead Project Engineers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location option.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • Ability to obtain access to Special Access Programs (SAP)

  • 5+ years of experience in a Project Engineering role

  • Experience with systems architecture, requirements development and test & verification

  • Earned Value Management experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience working with SAFE Agile software teams

  • Experience working on Avionics systems

  • Experience with F-15 aircraft systems

  • Experience System Requirements

  • Experience working with DOORS to do requirements management

  • Earned Value Management Experience

Typical Education/Experience:

Lead (Level 4)

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.
Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work
experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Senior (Level 5)

Bachelor's degree typically 14 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a Master's degree with typically 12 or more years' experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with typically 9 or more years' experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range (Level 4 Lead Level): $114,750 – $155,250

Summary pay range (Level 5 Senior): $140,250 – $189,750
