Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Poland is looking for an Experienced Structural Analysis Engineer (787 Boeing Converted Freighters project) to join our Engineering Technology Center team, in Gdansk, Poland.

You will join the Boeing Global Services Modifications and Freighter Team to perform basic structural analysis using well defined analysis tools to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. You will demonstrate compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform structural analysis of aircraft, including calculation of loads, statics and fatigue

  • Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components by way of classical hand calculations

  • Generate documentation (stress check notes) to report analysis results to support certification and qualification processes

  • Guide product design and check structural strength using analysis tools

  • Help improve products by investigating failures

  • Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment

  • Guide product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations

  • Work under general guidance

This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. During the first 90 days (probation period) 100% onsite presence is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 2+ years’ experience or related work experience and/or combination of additional education and relevant experience with stress analysis

  • Good knowledge of static and fatigue analysis of aircraft components

  • Knowledge about aircraft structure types and its function, design philosophy

  • Fluent in both written and verbal English

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):

  • Master’s Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Applied Mechanics, Structural Engineering or related fields

  • Knowledge of finite element method approach is considered as an advantage

  • Basic knowledge of composite material

  • Experience with durability analysis would be a plus

  • Technical rigor and focus on excellence

  • Being familiar with Boeing basic tools and process requirements

Typical Education:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master).
