Job Description:

Airbus Helicopters is looking for an avionics engineer to join our Embedded Software Department based in Marignane, France. He/She will be integrated in one of our product management team, coordinating the acitivites of multiple (agile) teams delivering software products.

The development are typically to be synchronized between 3 and 5 engineering teams located in France and Germany (and/or Spain).

Your challenges:

  • Serve as a servant leader and coach, ensuring alignment with agile principles and practices.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including avionics engineers, software developers, and other relevant stakeholders, to deliver high-quality avionics solutions.

  • Facilitate Program Increment Planning, program-level ceremonies, and other Agile events to ensure effective collaboration, communication, and coordination.

  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying and addressing program-level challenges, dependencies, and risks.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Agile teams to ensure alignment and delivery of program objectives 

  • Foster a culture of transparency, trust, and continuous learning.

  • Share knowledge, best practices and contribute to the growth of Agile practices within the organization.

Your profile:

  • Educated to 5 years’ degree level (or equivalent) in computer science, electronics or related discipline.

  • Experience with Agile leadership role.

  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Experience with ED-12/DO-178 certification or other industries standards (e.g.: IEC 61508, ISO 26262, ..).

  • Experience with configuration management processes and tools (e.g. svn, git, clearcase, ..).

  • Fluent in English.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with the SAFe framework and Agile methodologies.

  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.

  • Proven ability to drive program-level execution and deliver business value.

  • Ability to identify and resolve dependencies, conflicts, and impediments at the program level.

Other experience in related domains will also be appreciated. This includes:

  • Experience working with agile methods (e.g. scrum).

  • SAFe RTE certification or equivalent Agile certifications are a plus.

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.

  • Proficiency in using Agile project management tools such as Jira, IceScrum, Ikanban.
