Job Summary:

Raytheon is seeking an experienced professional with a strong and successful background in Supply Chain and Program Management in the defense industry to fill a critical Material Program Manager (MPM) role on the ESSM Program.

In this role you will be responsible for scope spanning several ESSM contracts on both our Missile and Launcher portfolios. You will be accountable for supporting proposal activity, developing the material strategy, driving the teams’ execution, mitigating constraints, and ensuring material traceability through contract deliverables. You will be responsible for ensuring both domestic and international suppliers to ESSM are supporting Program needs, risks are mitigated, and efficiencies are identified. You will be the catalyst for program execution of the supplier engagement strategy including ensuring appropriate budget, resource, schedule, and execution. You will manage the scrum backlog and ensure requirements are prioritized appropriately and made visible.

Key activities include: financial management (i.e., EVMS, budgets, targets, working capital, material sales, etc.); supplier management (i.e., Line of Balance/PO Place plans, Supplier Risk/Opportunity management, supplier performance, supply chain metrics, make buy/make where strategies, tactical/strategic sourcing, etc.), and requirements management.

 

This position is a hybrid role, and the selected applicant will work with the hiring manager to set schedule.

 

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

  • Communicate and translate ESSM requirements to suppliers; lead the HMT supplier engagements

  • Ensure suppliers are operating to and supporting MRP, the MPP, and the MPS

  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues

  • Proactively Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within the supplier’s performance

  • Facilitate supplier requests for product and process changes

  • Track all inbound material through induction and Prime delivery

  • Operate in an AGILE environment

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or similar

  • Prior work experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and Power point)

  • Must be a self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management, supplier management.

  • Must be able to succeed in the high stress, fast paced environment of development.

  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks that they will be required to perform
