Collins Aerospace in Fairfield, CA, is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety Supervisor. In this role, you would act as a partner in EH&S by formulating and administering EH&S plans and procedures.  This role has responsibility for multiple EH&S specialties and will perform tasks associated with Health/Safety and Environmental/Compliance.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support operational plans for the different work areas.
  • Face complex problems that require extensive investigation and analysis.
  • Develop and implement new products, processes, standards, or operational plans that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results.
  • Significantly improve on existing processes and practices.
  • Collaborates with Facilities Management and business partners to achieve and maintain facilities and site activities that are compliant with local regulations.
  • Supports in-depth analysis of the business for EH&S improvement opportunities and develops/implements programs to reduce risk and achieve and maintain compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with controls for monitoring the effectiveness of EH&S programs.
  • Supports audits of the EH&S management system at factories and service locations to achieve and maintain compliance with regulations.
  • Lead the Environmental, Health, and Safety program to achieve and maintain compliance with current and future legal, regulatory, and corporate requirements.

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) access.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching, and process execution.
  • Specialized knowledge of technical or operational practices.
  • Experience with energetic material

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 176,000 USD; however, RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
