The Engineering Site Technician will be a part of and support the test engineering team in operations relating to testing Ejection Seating. Working independently, this position is responsible for maintaining the equipment, buildings, and grounds of the facility. Individual must demonstrate the ability to support several engineers, providing the wide variety of tasks to assist engineering projects. Tasks will include handling Cartridge Actuated Devices/Propellant Actuated Devices (CAD/PAD) items and connecting items to prepare ejection seat and rocket sleds for live testing. Must possess ability to coordinate and lead activities as well as strong organization and analytical skills. HMTF is a close-knit team, and we are willing to train the right candidate.
Primary Responsibilities:

Fabricate basic parts and fixtures via welding and machining
-
Operating equipment such as forklifts, backhoes, and road graders
-
Operating rough-terrain crane for loading and unloading test articles
-
Handling, testing and wiring rocket motors
-
Maintain and repair facility including water lines, buildings, etc.
Additional Responsibilities May Include:

Tracking inventory and logistics for CAD/PAD materials

Handling freight and shipping in and out of the facility
Basic Qualifications:
-
U.S. citizen or permanent resident (green card)
-
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-
Strong communication and project coordination skills
-
Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a fast-paced engineering environment.

An AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a HS diploma, GED or AA/AS degree, 8 years of relevant experience is required OR
-
A bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 2 years of relevant experience.
